Lakshadweep Islands
Lakshadweep Islands, formerly known as Laccadive are a string of 36 little known islands lying about 400 kms away from Kerala on the main Indian mainland. The waters of Lakshadweep are paradise for divers. Out of the 36 Arabian Sea coral Islands and islets, 10 islands are inhabited and just a few– Agatti, Bangaram and Kadamat, are open to foreign visitors. The palm fringed beached of Lakshadweep provide coolness, making this island region a all year destination. Read More at: Sights & Attractions - Lakshadweep, India

Bangaram Island Resort
Bangaram is an uninhabited island in Lakshadweep where the only occupants are either the guests or the hotel staff themselves. The resort allows the guests to soak in the sun, laze unhurriedly on the silver beaches, and listen to the sounds of the waves and swaying palms. For the action inclined the resort offers a well equipped and professionally manned Scuba Diving facility with courses for beginners. Besides coral, the reef is rich in marine life especially game fish and turtles.

Accommodation on the island is simple, unpretentious, yet comfortable. Set in 128 acres, there are 30 tiled-roof beach huts, each with its own palm-thatched verandah, en suite bathroom, ceiling fan and fridge. In a bit to preserve Bangaram's unique environment, a hotel atmosphere is avoided intentionally, but there are enough creature comforts to ensure your stay is an enjoyable one.
